Tuesday, May 7th in Harrisburg!

Join advocates across Pennsylvania as we return to Harrisburg to meet with legislators and advocate for crucial tobacco control issues throughout the Commonwealth! Youth & adult lung health advocates alike will unite at the capitol to educate state legislators on the importance of Master Settlement Agreement (MSA), comprehensive clean indoor air policies, and stock albuterol.

Make your voice heard!

Legislative Visits

Day at the Capitol is all about giving TRU members an opportunity to make their voices heard. TRU groups will meet with state legislators to share their perspective on the importance of TRU’s key advocacy issue – Stock Albuterol. TRU members are also encouraged to share their story of how nicotine and tobacco have impacted them and the importance of TRU.

Press Conference

Participants and the general public are invited to attend our press conference to close out the Day at the Capitol festivities. Hear from lung health experts and our very own TRU Ambassadors, plus learn more about the importance of tobacco prevention and control programming in PA.

Youth Activities

In addition to meeting with their legislators, TRU groups will take part in fun activities to get prepared and geared up for the day.

  • Friendship bracelet making with #novape messaging!
  • Play Ginat Jenga while testing your knowledge on vaping facts!
  • Write a postcard to a legislator reminding them of the importance of advocating for a tobacco-free future!
  • Fill out a DATC Bingo card for a chance to win some awesome TRU gear!
  • Watch Stereln Barr’s performance, while he promotes a smoke-free lifestyle while dancing, rapping, & singing!
